Wells Savile Row Bespoke Tweed Suit 44"L 40"L
A beautiful example of a Savile Row bespoke handmade tweed suit. A rare thing with not many true bespoke Savile Row tweeds available on the second hand/vintage market.
This suit is cut from a mid-heavy weight tweed. It's a really lovely cloth, 100% wool and woven in a twill weave with a ground of olive and a very subtle rust and blue windowpane check.
The jacket features slanted jetted and flapped pockets, with a matching right side ticket pocket. It has a three button front close, with a beautiful roll over the top button into the wide notch lapel. It has a functional buttonhole an a beautiful fabric turn back on the under collar showing its been handmade. The cuffs are four button and fully functional and the back is elegant with side vents. The buttons are all medium-light horn used throughout.
The trousers are a work of art, with forward pleats as tradition on Savile Row. The have a very slightly angled hand pocket which looks really elegant, and feature a coin pocket on the right side of the fasten. They have a plain seat with no pockets and are cut with belt loops on the waistband and a turn-up at the hem.
The suit measures and fits as a 44"L 40"L, with a slight tummy. Further measurements below.

The condition is very good for a suit of this age. It has been worn but no real heavy use. Some points to note below:
It has some minor pulls on the inside of the right side vent, this is not visible at all as covered by the vent.
The left sleeve has a pull in the middle near the elbow, hardly visible at all.
The right cuff has started fraying a very small amount at the point, again hardly noticeable at all.
