A beautiful Panama hat made by Herbert Johnson. This is a lovely example of a Panama hat, with a chocolate brown ribbon and leather inside band.
It has a lovely snap brim that snaps into place up or down both at the front and back.
Unfortunately it is not marked as Herbert Johnson but it was made by them. This hat cam with a number of other Herbert Johnson and Lock & Co hats from the same gentleman.
The size is a 60cm or 7 3/8" with some further measurements below:
Width of opening: 6.25"
Length of opening: 8.5"
Width of brim: 2.5"
The condition is excellent and it appears hardly worn at all. There is a blank paper sticker that has been stuck on the leather inside band that we have not tried to remove.
