Tom Brown Savile Row Bespoke Tweed Shooting Suit 44”R 36”R
A unique tweed suit made by the well renowned Eton and Savile Row tailors, Tom Brown. This is a tweed suit that seems to have been comissioned for shooting as it features a real leather shoulder patch. An unusual piece that is extremely well made, all by hand!
The suit is cut from a mid-weight 100% wool Saxony tweed. It is not too heavy but a dense weave giving lovely drape, durability and structure.
The jacket features a real leather suede right side shoulder patch and neck top collar, an unusual but quite elegant and fun addition! It has a beautiful peak lapel, with a three button front. Slanted jetted and flapped hacking style pockets and a lovely French cuff style sleeve cuff. The back is elegant with side vets and inside there is a breast pocket on either side. All the button holes are hand sewn.
The trousers are very 70's, with a slight flare to them and a straight jean style pocket entry.
The suit measures up to be a 44"R 36"R/L, with further measurements below.
Jacket:
Pit2pit- 22.75”
Waist 6” below pit- 21”
Sleeve length from shoulder roll to cuff- 25”
Back length from neck seam to hem- 31.5”
Trousers:
Waist when laid flat- 18”
Inside leg seam- 32.5”
Width at hem- 10”
Material inside hem for alterations- 2.5”
The condition of the jacket is excellent, and we expect the jacket really to be worn mostly by itself. It appears pretty much unworn with no obvious flaws.
The trousers unfortunately have some holes in them. There is a hole inside the leg at the hem, another on the opposite leg inside but a few inches further up, and a small and unnoticeable hole near the right side pocket entry. These holes are possibly caused by moths, and to confirm the suit has been dry clean to remove any moth from the garment so it is completely clean.
