The notch lapel is a beautiful shape and has a green felt under collar. The coat has a straight flapped pocket on either side with a right side matching ticket pocket. Inside there is a breast pocket either side with a left side lower cigarette pocket. The back has a deep vent, that has a hidden button halfway down for further weather protection. It has a chain hanging loop in the neck and there are four tramlines on both cuffs and hem. See below for what the tramlines mean.

The coat is cut from west of England woven covert cloth, which is a centuries old fabric in England. It's a high twist yarn that makes the cloth very hardwearing. The history of the covert coat and its famous tramlines on the cuffs and lower hem, is that gentleman would wear their covert coat in the city for many years, and when the cuffs and hem starts to fray, ones tailor would cut the fabric back to the next tramline and the coat could continue to be worn. Once the coat was not wearable anymore after too many cutbacks of the cuffs and hem, the covert coat would be used in the country at gentleman's country houses. This is a historical style of coat and truly is at home in the city and the country.

The coat is a size 42"R with further measurements below, bear in mind this is an overcoat designed to be worn over layers/tailoring.
