Cordings of Piccadilly Barleycorn Tweed Sports Jacket 42”R
A beautiful tweed sports jacket, made by the renowned, Cordings of Piccadilly. Part owned by Eric Clapton, Cordings make some of the finest British country clothing on the market.
Cut from a mid weight 100% wool tweed that Cordings call the 'Barleycorn Tweed', with a ground of mid-light brown herringbone with a red and rust windowpane check. The jacket features a three button front close with a beautiful roll over the top button into the notch lapels. It has a red felt under collar and the cuffs are four button and light blonde horn used throughout. The pockets are slanted jetted and flapped with a right side matching ticket pocket. The back is simple with a centre vent and inside there is a breast pocket on both sides and a left side lower cigarette pocket.
The jacket is a size 42"R with further measurements below:
Pit2pit- 23"
Waist 6" below pit- 21.25"
Sleeve length from shoulder roll to cuff- 25.5"
Back length from neck seam to hem- 32"
The jacket is in great condition. It does have a small hole on the lower right side below the pocket, right at the hem. This has been darned so won't get any worse. The fabric is also fraying ever so sightly at the cuffs but this is nothing to worry about and adds to the patina.
